Patients are often faced with a choice between conventional and complementary medicine. The aim of this Case Conference on Integrative Medicine will be to explore the interface between conventional and complementary forms of treatment and the potential of integrative approaches.

Therefore, an interactive case conference will be held. Firstly, an allergic rhinitis patient will be presented (if possible by a life-case presentation) by an allergologist and all experts and the auditorium will have the possibility to ask the patient. Secondly, experts in conventional medicine and integrative medicine (homeopathy, Chinese medicine including acupuncture) will discuss strategies for diagnosis and treatment based on a report on allergic rhinitis. The case conference will close, thirdly, by a discussion of the experts and the auditorium about the treatment of the patient and integrative approaches.
